What a fun, beautiful day! Joe & Meghan's wedding was my last of the three weddings I had out in Philadelphia this summer. Their wedding was originally going to be in November, however, the date was changed to August. It was so much fun & I was so happy to be shooting with my husband, Tim. We work so well together & he's the best looking assistant I have ever had...sorry others. :-)
The weather was beautiful for their wedding & nothing could damage this day...even the florist thinking the wedding was "the next day" and the flowers not coming until mid ceremony! Yes, that happened...yet Joe & Meg didn't let anything get in the way of their perfect day. :-) Joe & Meg's love for each other was so awesome. It was so apparent & filled every part of their day from getting ready to their first dance together. Couples like Joe & Meg make my job so incredibly easy because I didn't have to suggest much to them...they just did what is natural to them & being in love & showing affection is natural for them.
Joe & Meghan...thank you so much for choosing me to be a special part of your day. Tim & I had such a wonderful time & we are so grateful for everything. Enjoy a sneak peak of your pictures...
Getting ready...this was fun. :-)
Mom couldn't help but shed a few tears when they put her tiara & veil on...

Just some details...

Joe is a Marine...so it was really awesome to see some of his Marine friends come up and participate in their wedding. Here is one of the guys practicing for Joe & Meg as they would leave the ceremony...
One of Tim's shots...
Meghan getting ready...

Joe getting some last minute instructions...
Joe's groomsmen making sure he looks his best. I think the bunny ears were a nice touch. :-)
Meghan arriving at the church with her dad...

Someone was a little nervous...
But she & her sister did such a great job...
Tim's shot...which I love...
Tim's shot of Joe as Meghan came down the aisle...
This shot is one that I always love to get. I guess I always get it because I can only imagine what is going through a father's mind when he gives his daughter away. At that very moment when he walks away to take his seat...it's probably harder than walking her down the aisle.
Remember when I said that the flowers came mid-ceremony? Joe's Marine guys delivered the flowers to everyone half way through. Since the guests were aware of the flower situation, it was kind of funny to stop and allow a grand entrance for them. :-)
I always love when a couple makes their way up the aisle to exit...now husband & wife. I was thinking about why I love that part of a wedding so much and I think it is because the photo of Tim & I walking up the aisle is one of my favorites from my wedding. :-) So happy!
We quickly went back into the church to grab a few pictures...
Leaving the ceremony...
Meg & Joe chose to do their photos at Joe's mom's house. She has a beautiful backyard & this allowed the wedding party & close family to mingle and relax a little before heading to the reception. We had a lot of fun & we got some beautiful pictures of the two of them.

They are so much fun...
I love this...

These ladies were awesome. Of course they had to prove they could pick Joe up. :-)
A definite "must do" for Meg...she wanted to stand "at attention" with the guys. And of course Tim asked the secret to standing at attention so still...and the one guy told him that you have to chose a focal point and do not take your eyes off of it. And I'm sure much training...haha.
There's those beautiful girls!
The cutest little flower girls...who happen to be Joe's little sisters. :-)
Some fun...
They guys had to do this...poor Joe doesn't even get a break for his wedding weekend! :-)

Joe & Meghan's 1st dance...
Could there be a cake topper any more appropriate? It was awesome. :-)
They did the cake smashing to their best man & maid of honor...such good sports!
Congratulations, Joe & Meghan!!! And thank you, Joe, for serving our country. Best wishes to you both!
