Family Session :: Part One anyway...

I know I haven't been blogging as much lately. :-( I've been really busy & was actually sick with strep throat (yuck!) last week. So, I got a little behind on my blog previews so I could rest. Taking an involuntary week off during the prime time of the photography season was NOT fun. But, I really needed the rest. I'm almost feeling 100%...I'm still a little tired and have been trying to get more sleep at night. :-)

Anyway, who would think that in July that it would be barely 60 degrees, cool & windy? Well, living near Lake Superior can do that at any moment! Away from the lake a little it's usually a lot warmer...but we get those random days that the wind switches off the lake and it's chilly!

So, this was the case on this beautiful day. We met up at a beautiful little park & when I got out of the car I was freezing! And it was so windy! We did some pictures of the little girl cousins...but decided to reschedule when we got down to the beach. I started taking pictures & Kalli's hair was blowing straight back. It didn't take long to decide to reschedule! We'll be getting together again soon in August to re-do the session. But, I did like some of the pics that I did get...so I thought I'd share a few. :-) I'm really looking forward to doing your session in August! :-)

Adorable cousins together. :-)

About Me...

I have always loved photography & photos in general. As a young girl, my room was filled with photos & albums of my friends & family. I am still this way as I love to have constant reminders through photos of all of the special people in my life & many of the wonderful experiences that I have had as well. My wedding day, the birth of my children, my children's first baths, my children's first steps, their first little tooth, birthday parties, family events...all of those beautiful, precious memories & events that we can never experience again once they have happened. I am so grateful that by doing something I really love, I can provide many families with photos that they can look at over & over & share with their families & friends. I love that I can provide them with beautiful memories that they will hang on the walls of their homes & precious memories that will be tucked inside photo albums on their coffee tables & in their wallets for years to come.

About My Photo Sessions...

Telling a story and portraying who a person truly & uniquely is; is the style of photography that I capture in each of my photo sessions. Capturing the essence of a person or a moment is an amazing piece of another's journey through life that being a photographer allows me to do. Whether I am photographing a child, a family or a special event; being there to capture what may have otherwise been forgotten or unseen is such an amazing and beautiful part of why I do what I do. I love to be there to capture true joy, beautiful smiles, pure excitement and those infamous tears that come upon all of us at one time or another. Every human being has been made for a purpose. Each for something great. It is an honor to be a part of portraying the greatness, uniqueness & special qualities in every person I photograph.
