I can hardly believe that our move has come so quickly! Tomorrow, our family is re-locating to Superior, WI, which is my hometown. I am going to miss working with all of my clients here in PA, however, I am so fortunate to have so many clients who will continue booking their sessions with me when I am back in the area. I plan to be here in PA, several times in 2009...so I am excited to re-connect with many of you then!
We are leaving tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. to begin our 20-24 hour drive to Wisconsin. We are praying for a smooth trip & patience on our end...as we have 3 children that we will be traveling with. We are hoping they do well! :-) As any parent would!
Thank you again, to all of my faithful clients, who have chosen to allow me to photograph your lives. I am so grateful for every opportunity that has come my way & will continue to stay in touch about my availability out here in PA!

Moving...
Shore Session: Avalon, NJ
This past weekend, my husband & I, traveled to the Jersey shore for a few family photo sessions. It was so nice to be together before making our move (which is tomorrow!!!). On Sunday night, I met with the Murphy family in Avalon, NJ. It was a beautiful evening...a little windy, but absolutely beautiful and a beautiful family, too! I was hoping to get your sneak peek entirely finished before our big move, however, time just hasn't allowed me to do much with editing since we've been back! I managed to work on a few that were my favorites. More to come later! Also, I have another family session from Monday morning to post as well! Enjoy!!!

My two favorites from our session...

Keith, Katie & Addie
Last Saturday, I photographed a beautiful family! This was actually my second time seeing little Addie for pictures, as I had photographed her & Katie when she was several weeks old. She is so adorable & getting so big! I love to see how the little ones change!
We met in the morning & had beautiful light! :-) It was great seeing you again! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Littlest Heroes Project

When I started my photography business, something that I held in high regard as a priority for my business would be to give back & do all that I can to bless others through my work & to be able to share my gift with those in need. I joined Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep several months back and several weeks ago, I came across another amazing organization that provides photo sessions to families of children who suffer from serious illnesses. I was so touched by their site & by the love & care that is offered to families of children who suffer from serious illnesses. As a children's photographer, I spend many hours per week photographing children & their families. And when looking through The Littlest Heroes site, I knew that I needed to be involved in this organization to allow others to see another side of my heart & to see another aspect of the passions I have not only in photography, but for children.
After I graduated from college, with a degree in Early Childhood, my first job was at a learning center that integrated children with special needs into the center. Being a teacher/care-provider for children & for children with special needs, really opened my eyes to the extra amount of care that these children truly need & how special & beautiful they are, too. And although, I am no longer a teacher, it is such a privilege to have been accepted into the Littlest Heroes Project, to be able to offer families that struggle with serious illnesses a beautiful gift!
If you or anyone you know has an interest in learning more about how this organization can help, please visit their website for more information or feel free to contact me for more information.

Family Shore Session
Last Wednesday, my husband & I headed down to the shore for a three family photo session. We had a beautiful evening! When we connected with the families...it so happens that my husband grew up with one of the husbands & went to elementary school with one of the sisters. So after some catching up...we got started. What a small world!
I can honestly say that this was one my most challenging photo sessions to date...light wise. The sun was so incredibly bright & there was no shade...so I had to be a bit more creative with the abundance of light I had. And with three families...getting all the little ones to get together for a group shot was a little challenging...but my trusty little bunny did the trick. :-) Those who have had their children photographed know of the "bunny" & thank goodness for it!
I had a lot of fun chasing around these beautiful families! You guys are awesome! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Not your traditional family picture...but I had to post this one. I honestly think it is one of my favorites because it clearly shows what stage of parenting Megan & Josh are in! On the go toddlers...which we enjoy ourselves with our children & sympathize with you tenfold!
Tim's fav...one of mine, too. :-)

Another of my favs...
I did get some good ones of everyone looking...but I wanted to remind them all of the busyness going on in their family...how cute!
Dad wanted to get a picture of him holding ALL of his children at once. They even practiced beforehand. You got it!
Another one of my favorites...

Isn't he SO adorable???

These were so cute...she had a very big tight grin for many pictures...so we told her not to smile...that's a little difficult for this happy girl...which then turned into some really adorable real smiles!

Little buddies playing some beach baseball...

Siblings!!!

Our last week here...
Despite being a bit emotional about making our big move on the 28th...I am like a chicken with her head cut off!!! We are making progress on our packing, sorting & tossing...but this week has been incredibly busy & my weekend is jam-packed!!! I had a large shore session last evening, a photo session tonight, a wedding tomorrow, a photo session Saturday morning, our going away party Saturday night, a shore session on Sunday night, 2 shore sessions on Monday morning, a prospective wedding couple meeting on Tuesday, a full day of packing up our moving truck on Wednesday & on the road early Thursday morning. I can feel my blood pressure rising as I type!!! Granted...my husband & I are staying down at the shore on Sunday night due to the 3 sessions I will be doing down there...however, it will hardly feel like a break! I absolutely LOVE doing all this work...however, I think I packed it in a little tight...wouldn't you say? Any sort of prayers you can send our way...we'll take!!! I guess it keeps my mind off our last week here! Besides, this last week of work will be my work to work on for September as well as a few things from last week...then it will be right back to it in October! Busy, busy, busy...

Katie, Cole & Abbey
Last Friday, I spent the morning with some awesome kids! They were all beautiful & had great personalities. I had put a small sneak peek up prior to this...but I finally have a sneak peek with a slideshow up! :-)
We went to Lenape Park in Perkasie, because their mom loved the bridges. They are great! And another photographer friend told me about a little building there that I thought would be great for the older ones. I love the ones of Katie up in the building. Granted, the walk up the incredibly steep hill was a killer, but no one got hurt...except I fell flat on my behind on the walk down. I am still laughing. At least they made it down safely! :-)
I hope you all enjoy your sneak peek & slideshow! You guys are awesome! I wish you all the best this next year in school & Cole...I used your song suggestion. :-) Enjoy!

I love feet...except my own. :-) haha.
I love the colors & light in this picture of Katie. (I can't believe she's only 14!)
I love this one of Cole...
And I love this one of Abbey...
This picture is awesome because Denise brought along a photo of these guys when they were younger & we posed them the same way. :-)
